Cambodia: This wild and untamed country still has places you can rent rocket launchers or machine guns to shoot the animal of your choice for the right
price (cow, chicken, deer, etc), but most tourism is focused on the tame and magnificent 12th-century ruins of Angkor Wat and Bayon, one of the finest monuments in the world and one of Asia's great three Hindu and Buddhist religious centers. A great off-the-beaten-path destination is the small enclave of Kratie on the banks of the Mekong River and a great place to see the rare Irrawaddy dolphins in an old French colonial town. Indonesia shares half of the island of Borneo with Malaysia where incredible virgin jungle expeditions are available as are river safaris into Tanjung Puting National Park to witness the great orangutan in the native environments. Amazing surfing, 8th century UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Borbordor and Prambanan, world-class diving, moonlit beach parties, volcano summits, whitewater rafting, if only the thirty-day visa was longer.....

beauty this country endows upon its unsuspecting visitors has become legendary. A 3-4 day jungle river trip up the Irrawaddy from Mandalay, to the Buddhist spiritual center and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Bagan, drops you into a fairy tale land famous for its temple-strewn plains home to over 3,000 pagodas, temples and Buddhas, best viewed from the perch of a hot air balloon around sunset. With the only limitation being the time on your visa, one must decide which devilishly seductive islands to explore and if temple complexes and an elephant trek in the golden triangle jungles of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai are squeezed into any itinerary. The Ang Thong Marine Park with nearby Ko Samui, Ko Tao, and Ko Pha Ngan hosts epic reefs, beautiful beaches, and raging nightlife including the world-famous full-moon party on Haad Rin beach.
